Management: Helmut Treffer
Helmut Treffer is the newly appointed Managing Director of Schaeffler Australia Pty Ltd, effective 23rd of January, 2007.
Mr. Treffer, who has a background in Mechanical Engineering, initially joined INA back in 1992 within the role of Market Development for Industrial and Automotive for the Asia Pacific region. It was during this time that he assisted in developing the business units in both Korea and India.
In January 2006 Mr. Treffer was appointed to the position of President South East Asia Pacific, a role he continues to preside over along with his duties as the Managing Director of Schaeffler Australia.
When questioned as to the prospects and challenges of his new role, Helmut stated that he is looking forward to a continuation of the strong and long held relationships between Schaeffler Australia and its distributors & customers.
Mr. Treffer added, “The importance of engineering 'know how', coupled with the full product and service range offered by the Schaeffler Group, means that we are in a stronger position than ever to service the Australian market, forging growth for both ourselves and our partners”.
